Respect the user
Every form, every field, every click has to earn the time we ask for. We design for the tired teacher at 9pm, not the demo at the trade fair.
We saw how much of a Nigerian teacher day was lost to admin. So we built the tools we wished our own teachers had — quiet, fast, and respectful of how schools actually work here.
From the proprietor approving fees on a Sunday to the JSS3 teacher marking 42 essays on a Saturday — every screen we ship has to earn its place. No fluff. No bloated forms. Just tools that work, on the budget you have, on the network you have.

Founded in Abuja
It started at Bright Future Academy in Abuja. The bursary ran on a single Excel file and three weeks every term went to reconciling fees. We built v1 over a long Easter weekend.
Word travelled through the proprietor WhatsApp group. We focused on what schools needed first — fees, attendance, results. Nothing else.
Parents started asking how to pay online. We shipped the parent app and watched Sunday-night fee chases drop 80%.
First Lagos schools. Then Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Kano. The product had to handle ten times more concurrent users than we expected.
Students were preparing for WAEC on YouTube and PDFs from 2018. We launched Schoolzar Learn — exam prep built by Nigerian teachers, for Nigerian students.
Every form, every field, every click has to earn the time we ask for. We design for the tired teacher at 9pm, not the demo at the trade fair.
Nigerian internet, Nigerian budgets, Nigerian terms. We test on 3G phones with cracked screens because that is what real teachers carry.
We do not over-promise. We answer the phone. When something breaks (it will), we tell you what we did about it.
We would rather ship one feature schools love than five they tolerate. Quiet, dependable releases.
Every roadmap meeting starts with the same question: which school is asking for this? Not what is trending in edtech.
The owl shows up at the right moments — onboarding, empty states, payment success. Not in the fee register. Warmth is rationed.
A small team across Abuja and Lagos. Half ex-teachers, half ex-engineers — and we do not always tell you which is which.
